The La Plata Dolphin or Franciscana is the only species of River Dolphin found in salt waters. The La Plata Dolphin is also know as the Franciscana.
• The La Plata Dolphin is found along a select area of the east coast of South America, in the Atlantic Ocean. • The La Plata Dolphin grow up to 5-6 feet (1.5-1.8 m) long. • La Plata Dolphin or Franciscana are opportunistic feeders that eat fish they find along the bottom.
