Because Bull Sharks tend to live so close to land people are more likely to come in contact with them. This is why many shark attacks are from Bull Sharks.
The Bull Shark is common in warm, shallow waters along coasts and in rivers all over the world.
• Bull Sharks do tend to be more aggressive than most other sharks.
• Bull Sharks can tolerate fresh water, so sometimes they are found very far upstream in rivers.
• Male Bull Sharks can reach lengths almost 7 feet (2.1 m)!
• Female Bull Sharks care even bigger than males... They can reach up to 13 feet (4 m) long!
• The Bull Shark can eat any animal it comes across within a reasonable size. Some of the things it commonly eats are fish, other sharks, rays, marine mammals, turtles, seabirds, molluscs, echinoderms, and crustaceans. That's a lot!
• Bull Sharks give birth to live young. Sometimes up to 13 at once!
